DECISIONS DRIVEN BY POLITICS

Justin Trudeau’s pause on carbon taxes for homes heated with oil will only really help people in Atlantic Canada. Again, Trudeau’s carbon tax decisions are driven by politics and trying to buy votes.

What about all the other Canadians who use natural gas to heat our homes? Are we chopped liver in the eyes of Trudeau?

Last time I checked, Trudeau is prime minister to all Canadians and not just to Liberal-rich regions!

Carbon taxes and GST on all home heating sources should be permanently removed; after all, we live in a very cold climate.

Our boy wonder PM doesn’t understand paying for heating bills as his heating needs are paid for by the taxpayers of Canada.

IT’S TOO LATE, JUSTIN

It appears that our “esteemed” PM is beginning to see the light regarding the level of unpopularity of his inane carbon tax. Unfortunately for him, and fortunately for Canadians, it looks like it’s a case of too little, too late.

It’s now very apparent that it’s time for Jagmeet Singh to man up and stop supporting the inept federal Liberals. He should do it for his fellow Canadians. He might even garner a little more respect at the same time.

A SHORT LIST? TRY NON-EXISTENT

I tried to make a list of the things the government did right. It didn’t matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t come up with anything, but my pen went dry writing things it screwed up. It seems that this government has the ability to take things that worked and update them because they were old to something new that doesn’t work. Now, that takes a special skill set.

The only problem is, the debt it incurs during the process is destroying our country. Can we afford to have the Liberals in office for two more years?

HYPOCRITICAL NHL

I find it very hypocritical that the Ottawa Senators’ Shane Pinto has been suspended for gambling, but the NHL allows all kinds of gambling advertisements on TV during games.

KIDS ARE DYING

The relentless pounding by Israel of Gaza has reduced much of it to rubble and killed thousands of civilians, including many children. Some reports will question the actual fatality numbers as inflated, but even if they were there are a lot of kids dying, injured or missing underneath tons of bombed out rubble.

Yes, the Hamas attack was heinous and vile, they should be made to pay dearly, but do the innocents like these little tots?
