Suspect charged in nose-picking robbery

Article content

A week after police released a video of a nose-picking thief who was caught on camera breaking into a Sandy Hill home, a man has been charged in relation to the incident.

In a news release on June 2, police said the man entered a residential unit along Russell Ave. near the University of Ottawa on May 7 at about 2 p.m. He was caught on a computer camera in a bedroom rifling through drawers and picking his nose, seemingly unaware he was being filmed.

On Thursday, police said in a separate release a man turned himself in at the Elgin St. station earlier this week.

Akinyemi Williams, 26, of Ottawa, has been charged with break and enter and breach of peace bond.
