Cops arrest man in September gas station robbery

A 27-year-old Ottawa man has been charged in connection with a September retail robbery.

Alec Joshua Mackie is charged with robbery, wearing a disguise and breach of probation.

On Sept. 22 at about 7:30 p.m., police say a lone man entered an Ogilvie Rd. gas station and demanded money, but ended up leaving empty-handed.

The suspect surrendered himself to investigators on Thursday morning, after being contacted by police.

Mackie is slated to appear in court on Feb. 6.
