Ottawa cops seek suspect in 2 bank heists

Ottawa police are on the hunt for a suspect in connection with two robberies at the same bank.

In the first robbery on Feb. 13, police say a lone male suspect entered a Beechwood Ave. bank, demanded money and left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On March 23, police say the same suspect returned to the bank, again demanded money and made off with an undisclosed amount of cash,

The suspect is described as a white man, 5-foot-6 with a skinny build. He wore a white, red and grey windbreaker, old blue jeans, dark grey shoes, black scarf, aviator-style sunglasses and black gloves in the latest incident.

In the first robbery, he carried a blue and grey Roots backpack.

The suspect may have been carrying a higher than usual amount of cash in the days following the March 23 robbery.
