Gatineau cops are looking for an armed robber who tied up a bowling alley employee before making off with cash from the safe.

It happened at Le Carrefour bowling on Greber Blvd around 9:53 p.m. Police say a man dressed in black, wearing a ski mask, walked in while the business was still open. It’s not known how many people were bowling at the time.

He approached an employee, told him to open the safe at gunpoint and then tied him up.

The man managed to escape with cash, though police wouldn’t say how much. Eventually, a customer came to the employee’s aid and untied him. Nobody was injured.

The suspect is 5-foot-6, weighs about 150 lbs. and speaks English.

Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Sgt. Pierre Bastien at 819-243-2345, ext 7820.
